Funeral services for Abel Duane Thompson, 45, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Monday, December 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the First Texas Indian Baptist Church in Livingston, Texas with Rev. Roy Jernigan officiating. Interment will follow in the Alabama-Coushatta Indian Reservation Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 9, 2018 in the First Texas Indian Baptist Church in Livingston, Texas.

Abel was born on November 7, 1973 in Jennings, Louisiana to parents, Jerry Thompson and Katherine (John) Thompson, and passed away on December 5, 2018 in Livingston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Dewayne Thompson, Dwight Thompson, Troy Thompson, and Jonas Thompson; and sister, LeeAnne Thompson.

He is survived by his daughter, Marayah Lambright and husband, Roderick of Livingston; sister, De'Aun Williams and husband, Clifford of Livingston; sister, Priscilla Thompson of Livingston; and granddaughter, McKinley Valdez of Livingston; nieces, Amber Thompson and Faith Thompson both of Livingston; nephew, Brent Thompson and wife, Traci of Livingston; great-nieces, Jaiden Thompson, Ketanah Thompson, Coryn Thompson, Aubrei Thompson, Layla Thompson, and Brandy Thompson all of Livingston; and great-nephews, Grayam Thompson, T. Royce Thompson, Wanihka Williams, and Mahli Williams all of Livingston; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
