Funeral services for Alex Coleman Binford, 83, of Livingston, Texas, will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Steve Horn and Bro. Joe Jackson officiating. Interment will be held later that afternoon, at 2:30 PM, at Oakland Cemetery in Navasota, Texas. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 PM, Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Cochran Funeral Home.

Mr. Binford was born on May 4, 1930 in Navasota, Texas and passed away on February 16, 2014 in Livingston, Texas. He graduated from Navasota High School, class of 1948. He worked as a lineman for Sam Houston Electric Cooperative and was a member of Central Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife, Earline Binford, whom he married on January 8, 1954; and parents, Alex and Catherine (Ripkowski) Binford.

He is survived by his brother, John Binford of Temple, Texas; daughter, Laura Francis of Livingston, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Andrew and Shelly Binford of Nacogdoches, Texas; granddaughters, Brianna Ligon of Livingston, Texas, Brittanie Duff of Beaumont, Texas, Chelsea Merino of Livingston, Texas, Cinnamon Duff of Livingston, Texas, Emberlen Binford of College Station, Texas, and Savannah Binford of College Station, Texas; 9 great-grandchildren; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
