Alma Jean Fendley 64 of Palestine, passed away Thursday November 20, 2008 in Palestine. Funeral services were held Sunday November 23, 2008 at 2:00PM in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doyle Hodge officiating. Burial followed in the Carlisle Cemetery.
Alma was born September 28, 1944 in Cleveland, to parents John D. and Mildred Louise Jordan Hodge. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Carl Edward Fendley.
She is survived by her brothers and sisters, Johnny Hodge and wife Lois of Seven Oakes, George Hodge and wife Maxine of Palestine, Merle Van Natter and husband Harry of Harts, W.V., Melvin Armitage and wife Marilyn of Shepherd, Henry Armitage and wife Jennie of Cleveland, and Martha Ann Armitage of Palestine. Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive her.
Serving as pallbearers were Harry Van Natter, Douglas Hodge, Lou Rogers, Roger Hall, Charlie Barnes, Bruce Chapman and Todd Van Natter.
