Funeral services for Alma Mae Smith, 81, of Pearland, Texas, will be held Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. in the First Baptist Church of Lomax located at 11303 North H. St. in La Porte, Texas with Pastor Cory Furr officiating. Interment will follow in the Center Grove Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the service begins at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 21st at the church.
Mrs. Smith was born May 2, 1939 in New Ulm, Texas to parents, Adolf Schultz and Josie (Henicke) Schultz, and passed away April 13, 2021 in Houston, Texas. During her life, Mrs. Smith worked at the Comet Café in Houston. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Kenneth "Daniel" Smith; grandson, Darren Smith; brothers, Benny Schultz, LeRoy Schultz, Raymond Schultz, Howard "Sonny: Schultz, Led Schultz, and A.D. Schultz; and sisters, Vivian "Dolly" Robertson, Bonnie Campbell, and Susie Birdwell.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Smith of Pearland; son, John Smith of Pasadena; daughters, Karen Plemons and husband, Roby of Pearland, and Kimberly Ann Stonestreet and husband, Robert of Clear Lake; granddaughters, Krystal Spiller and J.D. of Alvin, Jessica Wilkinson and Matt of Pearland, Ashley Bradbury and Court of Phoenix, Arizona, Rachel Stonestreet of Clear Lake, and Cassie Smith of Livingston; grandsons, Colten Stonestreet of Clear Lake, Jordan Smith of Pasadena, and Brandon Smith of Conroe; great-grandchildren, James Wilkinson, Rylen Spiller, Kaden Spiller, Bryce England, Peyton Bradbury, Collin Bradbury, Trey Smith, Lillian Smith, Karson Smith, and Lewis Smith; sister, Anna Mae Blanton; and brothers, John Schultz and James Schultz; along with numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
