Longtime Pennsylvania resident, Althea M. Adams died peacefully September 18, 2017 at the home of her daughter, at her side in Onalaska, Texas. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 beginning at 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P.M. at Cochran Funeral Home in Onalaska, Texas. Services will be held at a later date in Pennsylvania. Mrs. Adams was born January 27, 1930 to Milton D. and Ester M. (Lapp) Rice in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. She spent all of her youth in Bethlehem until moving to Texas with her daughter. She met and married Arthur S. Adams in June of 1950. Together they raised four children while living in Bethlehem. Retired from Burron Medical.

Survivors include her sister, Francis Silfies of Charlottesville, Virginia and brother, Donald Rice of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania; a sister-in-law, Mildred (Ritter) Matthews of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania; daughters and sons-in-law, CarolAnn and James Stutts of Onalaska, Texas, Brenda and Scott Rudolph of Slattington; her sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Cathy Adams of Bethlehem and Timothy and Missy Adams of Nazareth; grandchildren, Tara Brown, Robert Brown, Caulder Schwarz, Michelle Adams and Nicole Adams; and great grandchildren, Hunter and Holly Brown and Aiden Schwarz.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Arthur S. Adams; parents, Milton and Ester Rice; son Jeffrey Adams and granddaughter Tonya Brown; her brother Harold Rice and her sister Gladys Bergeris.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
