Funeral services for Ansel Ray Kegans age 75, of Livingston will be held Monday August 24, 2009 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Barry Jeffries officiating and interment to follow Tuesday August 25, 2009 at 11:00am in the Mexia Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Matt Richardson, Robby Boyd, Ryan Boyd, Brent Alexander, Shane Moffett, John Harris, Ronny Lowe, Eddie Harvey and Bubba Wright. Military Honors provided by VFW Post #8568 with a Masonic Graveside.

He was born December 7, 1933 in Henderson, Texas the son of James Milam ""Dad"" Kegans and Emma Polkinghorn Kegans, and passed away August 22, 2009 in Livingston, Texas.

He was a member of the Trinity Lodge #14 A.F&A.M., served in the Korean Ward, and worked for the Department of Public Safety, he was a member of the Lions Club, member of the Band Boosters, and help with Little League Baseball.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Betty Wallace and husband Everett Wallace, and his brother Grady Strong.

He is survived by Marion Estelle Kegans, wife of Livingston, Vicki Lynn & Jim Boyd, daughter & son in law of Livingston, Elaine Harris, daughter of Livingston, Maryanna Van Dine, daughter of Livingston, Michael & Theresa Richardson, son & daughter in law of Livingston, grandchildren, Robby Boyd, Ryan Ray Boyd, Rebecca Boyd, Michelle Richardson Sample, Matthew Richardson, Jodi Jenkins, Jessica Broome, Jonathan Harris, Macy Workman, Keith Howard, Joshua Burrows and Kelsy Burrows, great grandchildren, Shelby & Austin Boyd, Caden & Blake Sample, Kyndall & Kaegan Howard, and Chloe Finley, Minnie Faye Parnel, sister, of Tyler, Texas, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
