Obituary
Funeral services for Archie Laird, 80, of Corpus Christi, Texas will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 20, 2017 in the Oak Grove Church of Christ Church in Livingston, Texas with Michael Miller officiating. Interment will follow in the Center Grove Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.
Mr. Laird was born September 4, 1936 in Ollie, Texas to parents, Robert Weldon Laird and Ruth Roseanna Laird, and passed away on July 14, 2017 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Vernon Weldon Laird; daughter, Edith Elaine Laird; and sisters, Margaret Ann Laird and Bobbi Ruth Schumacher.
He is survived by his wife, Erika Laird; son, Glen Laird and wife, Donna; daughter, Erika Young and husband, Larry; son, Don Laird and wife, Megie; daughter, Bridget Dreyer and husband, Mark; and son, Danny Laird and wife, Christina; 18 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brother, Weldon Laird and wife, Marcelle; brother, William "Bill" Laird; and brother, James "Jack" Laird; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
