Funeral services for Arlis Richard Williams, 99, of Shepherd, Texas, will be held Monday, May 23, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Minister Marion Morris officiating. Interment will follow in the Farley Chapel Cemetery located in Shepherd, Texas. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m., until the service begins at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home.

Mr. Williams was born February 3, 1923 in White City, Texas to parents, Frank W. Williams and Mary M. (Sanders) Williams, and passed away May 19, 2022 in Livingston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Cornell Williams and Curtis Williams; and sister, Volette Meadows.  During his life, Mr. Williams proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. He was also a member of the Shepherd Masonic Lodge #866, as well as a lifetime member of the VFW.

He is survived by his daughter, Sharon Ford and husband, Walter of Rock Hill, South Carolina; sons, Lewis Williams and wife, Sherry of Shepherd, Texas, David Williams and wife, Julie of New Boston, Texas; sister, Vernell Horn and husband, Larry of White Oak, Texas; as well as 10 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, other relatives and a host of friends.
