Memorial services for Arnold Henry Timmerman, 95, of Corrigan, Texas, will be held Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the First Assembly of God Church in Corrigan, Texas. Mr. Timmerman was born May 5, 1921 in Cresco, Iowa to parents, Henry G. Timmerman and Ida P. (Zeller) Timmerman, and passed away June 5, 2016 in Corrigan, Texas. He married Henny Betty Pedersen on August 29, 1952. He worked for Morton Chemical Salt Company in Illinois for several years. After moving his family to Texas, Arnold worked for Southwestern Assemblies of God College as head of the maintenance department.
Arnold was of Christian faith. He and his wife spent four years in Mexico doing volunteer missionary service to a German community. Upon their return to the United States, and having relocated in Corrigan, Texas, he and his wife spent many years in ministry to the nursing home residents of several different locations.
Mr. Timmerman is preceded in death by his brothers, Herbert Timmerman and Paul Timmerman; son-in-law, Thomas Zachary; and grandson, Jeremy Timmerman. He is survived by his wife, Henny Betty Timmerman; sister, Elizabeth Timmerman Bruns; six children and their spouses, David and Suzie Timmerman, Rebekah and Robert Bowman, Nathan and Cindy Timmerman, Rachel and Phil Corbett, Daniel and TKay Timmerman, Ruthie and Jonathan Burke; 17 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
