Arnold Bianchi Jr.
September 18, 1926 – April 28, 2020
Arthur (Art) Bianchi was born September 18, 1926 in Fort Worth, Texas to parents, Arthur Arnold Bianchi Sr and Zelma (Boone) Bianchi, and passed away April 28, 2020 in Huntsville, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Iris Jean Bianchi; grandsons, Jason Blaha and Jared Blaha; sisters, Gladys Rogers and Frances Lawrence; and son-in-law, Butch Wood.
Art lost his mother at an early age and grew up with his aunt and uncle in Farmersville, Texas. He joined the US Navy and served during WW2 in the South Pacific as a medical corpsman. After being discharged, he returned to Farmersville, Texas and married Jean Gooch and started a family. They first moved to Raton, New Mexico and then to Highlands, Texas where he started his career with Humble Oil and Refining. He worked at "The Plant" in Baytown most of his career and also helped with a plant start up in Saudi Arabia. Art retired from what is now Exxon Mobile at age 59. He enjoyed his retirement with his wife Jean in Point Blank, Texas. He spent many hours fishing in Lake Livingston and was an avid woodworker. Art and Jean enjoyed camping with their friends and traveling across the United States. They were a big part of the community and Point Blank Community Church.
He is survived by son, A.A. Bianchi III of Houston, Texas; daughter, Theresa Wood of Mayhill, New Mexico; daughter and son-in-law, Janis and James Blaha of Crosby, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Joe Mark and Debbie Bianchi of Afton, Tennessee; grandchildren, Shawn Wood, Laurie Fulwider, and Nicholas Bianchi; and great-grandchildren, McKinzee Fulwider, Gabe Fulwider, Helena Wood, Alice Wood, Lilly Bianchi, and Kali Bianchi; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
