Aubrey Kay Barnes, 67, of Shepherd, Texas was born in Beaumont, Texas on July 11, 1948, to parents, Travis Austin Barnes Jr. and Gwendolyn Evonne (Poindexter) Barnes, and passed away on December 26, 2015 in Shepherd, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents; and son, Brad Barnes.
He is survived by his wife, Melanie Barnes of Shepherd, Texas; sons, Kenneth Barnes of Shepherd, Texas, Brian Barnes of Nacogdoches, Texas, Calvin Taylor of El Paso, Texas; daughter, Jerri Kay Boyd of Lufkin, Texas; son, Homer Barnes of Moscow, Texas; 13 grandchildren; brother, Kent Barnes of Chester, Texas; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
