Funeral services for Audrey Violet Moffett, 96, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Rev. Steve Woody officiating. Interment will follow in the Peebles Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. until the service begins at 1:00 p.m.
Mrs. Moffett was born September 23, 1921 in Portland Dorset, England to parents, George Gould and Rosebell (Comben) Gould, and passed away on October 23, 2017 in Livingston, Texas. During her life, she was an air raid warden in England during WWII. Audrey was a "war bride" and loved to travel. She had visited 32 countries in her lifetime. She also loved to play bridge, crochet, and cook. Her family will always remember her as the "best cook in the world." She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Curtis Moffett; and son, Curtis Lee Moffett.
She is survived by her daughter, Veronica Weaver and Bob of Goodrich, Texas; son, Richard Moffett and Carleen of Anaheim, California; grandson, Keith Weaver and Susan of Houston, Texas; grandson, Darrell Weaver and Marla of Pleasant Grove, Utah; granddaughter, Misty "Robin" Blanton and Bobby of Humble, Texas; grandson, Shaun Moffett and Tiffini of Yorbalinda, California; granddaughter, Tracey Worthy and Ray of Livingston, Texas; grandson, Shane Moffett and Jennifer of Livingston, Texas; grandson, Wade Moffett of Livingston, Texas; 16 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Karen Cantrell; along with many other relatives and friends.
