Ava Cone, 74 of Trinity, Texas was born August 7, 1950 in Lansing, Michigan to Lester and Franty Croy. She passed peacefully on Monday, December 9, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.

Ava was a devoted mother who poured her heart and soul into both her family and her career. Known for her unwavering work ethic and boundless love, she balanced the demands of her professional life with the joys and challenges of raising her family. Her strength, care, and determination left a lasting impact on those around her. Ava will be remembered for her resilience, selflessness, and the deep love she had for her family. Her legacy of hard work and dedication lives on in the hearts of her family.

Ava was preceded in death by her father Lester Croy, her "Daddy" Fred Clausen, her sister April King, and her daughter-in-law Kelly Harris.

She is survived by her husband and teenage sweetheart Michael Cone; son Chris Harris; daughters Shavon (Erick Gifford), Tanya, Shena (Chip Gilley), Elizabeth, Melissa (Lennie Guy); grandchildren Ashlee, Kaitlyn, Anthony, Crystal, Logan, Austin, Rebeka, Alyssa, Chris, Jacalynn, Kobie, Cameron, and Jack; great granddaughter Lennox; mother Franty McDougle; sisters Julia and Garaldeen; and brothers Kavin and Steven.

A memorial service will be held, in Ava's honor, Saturday, December 21, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Onalaska, Texas.
