Funeral services for Avis Virginia Nichols, 89, of Livingston, Texas will be held Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas. Interment will follow at Bluff Creek Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held Friday, January 3, 2025, from 5:00-7:00 p.m., at the funeral home.

Avis was born April 5, 1935 in Livingston, Texas and passed away December 24, 2024 in Livingston, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Oscar Nichols; parents, Archie B. Taylor and Winona Evelyn (Morris) Taylor; brothers, Billy Ray Taylor and Jimmy Arnold Taylor; brother-in-law, Delmer Nichols; and nephew, Nick Nichols.

She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Joyce Taylor of Center, Texas and Mary Taylor of Livingston, Texas; nephews, Ricky Bean and wife Vivian, Charles Taylor and wife Carolyn, Gary Taylor, and Ronald Taylor; and nieces, Deborah McAdams, Janice Kennedy, and Joanni Kinsela; along with numerous other loved ones and friends.
