Obituary
Memorial services for A.W. Sparks, 75, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the First Assembly of God Church in Livingston, Texas with Rev. Chris Borden officiating.
Mr. Sparks was born December 7, 1941 in Victoria, Texas to parents, Sterling J. Lee Sparks and Winifred "Freddie" (Kemper) Sparks, and passed away August 18, 2017 in Livingston, Texas. During his life, he proudly served and retired from the Houston Police Department after 25 years. In addition to the HPD, A.W. also retired from the Texas Department of Corrections. Most recently, A.W. and Billie were foster parents to many babies. He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Billie Sparks of Livingston, Texas; son, Dwayne Bowman; daughter, Dana Howell and husband, Curtis; daughter, Sharon Baxter; daughter, Tawnya Perkins and husband, Greg; daughter, Bette Reyes; daughter, Kemper Dotson; grandchildren, Stephanie Reynolds, Brittnee Howell, Krysta Stancomb, Jerry Brossman, John Patrick Maurin, Sierra Maurin, Kera Tucker, Thomas Jason Tucker, and Brianna Perkins; great-grandchildren, Connor Brossman, Bonnie Stancomb, and Elijah Cambre; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
