A.W. "Bill" Wiggins, beloved husband of Peggy Jane Manier Wiggins, died November 21, 2015, in Livingston at the age of 82.

Born October 1, 1933, in Livingston, to Ada Simmons Wiggins and James H. Wiggins. He is preceded in death by parents James and Ada, his older brother Sol, and his wife Peggy.
He is survived by his sister Vada Burks of Livingston, his children Maryanne Knox (now Jordan Grayson) of Tucson, Arizona, Tammy Neuwirth of Crosby, and Jimmy Wiggins of Livingston. He is also survived by his grandchildren Christian Pittman, Jessica Neuwirth, Lindsey Neuwirth and spouse Matt Coker , Shanna Rae Wiggins, Dia delaVina, numerous cousins and other relatives, as well as a host of loving friends from far and wide.

A fixture in Polk County for decades, Bill spent his life caring for others. When not driving a truck for the Cassity Lumber Company, he could be found hunting deer or fishing on Lake Livingston. By his terms, he was a "jack of all trades, master of none," but in fact he was a master and teacher of many things. A safe trucker, a dedicated sportsman, and a loyal employee, he was also a reliable provider and solid friend. Above all, he was a devoted brother and son, a loving father and grandfather.

He was a teacher and mentor to many who will miss him greatly. His stories will be repeated for years to come, and his memory will comfort the many remaining to miss him.

A service to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, at 2 pm, with the Rev. Tim Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in Camp Ruby Cemetery in Livingston. Visitation was held from 5-7 pm on Wednesday, Nov. 25, at Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston.
