Memorial services for Banksie Eastland Bryan, 89, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the First United Methodist Church in Huntsville, Texas with Rev. Mark W. Pickett and Rev. Ellen R. Willett officiating.
Mrs. Bryan was born January 1, 1926 in Houston, Texas to parents, Banks D. Eastland and Nola Ethel (Reed) Eastland, and passed away June 22, 2015 in Livingston, Texas. On October 16, 1942 she married the love of her life, James O. (Jim) Bryan. She was a "stay-at-home" mom. In 1964, Jim began working overseas and Banksie made a home for them for 20 years in places such as: South America, Saudi Arabia, Puerto Rico, Mexico and Indonesia. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Huntsville, Texas. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 72 years; her parents; sister; and 2 brothers-in-law.
She is survived by her daughters, Marilyn Camper and husband, Ray of Livingston, Texas, Judith Dean and husband, David Griffin of Huntsville, Texas; grandchildren, Todd Davis and wife, Ali Basye of Seattle, Washington, Meredith Anderson and husband, Steve of Houston, Texas, Jarred Dean and wife, Lea of St. Croix, Virgin Islands, Justin Dean and wife, Amy of Tomball, Texas, Amy Crawford and husband, Scott of Cypress, Texas, Mike Camper and wife, Carol of Houston, Texas; great-grandchildren, Ethan Dean and Sophie Dean both of St. Croix, Virgin Islands, Asher Dean, Gideon Dean, Naomi Dean and Rebekah Dean all of Tomball, Texas, Lauren Crawford and Daniel Crawford both of Cypress, Texas, Bailey Camper and Matthew Camper both of Kaneohe, Hawaii; sister, Lena Pinckney of Houston, Texas; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the building fund of the First United Methodist Church in Huntsville, Texas or to the charity of one's choice.
