Funeral services for Barbara Dennix, 79, of Livingston, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 8, 2020 in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Chuck McLaurin officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Rose Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 7, 2020 in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

On Friday, January 3, 2020, Barbara Dennix passed away at the age of 79. Barbara was born July 29, 1940 in Livingston, Texas. She graduated in 1958 from Livingston High School. Barbara worked at Jack & Jill Daycare for several years and for the past 25 years, for State Farm Insurance. She is preceded in death by her parents, Hazel and Arnold Gaylord; daughter, Linda Dennix; brothers, Jimmy Wayne Gaylord and John A. Gaylord; and son-in-law, Wendell Cooley.

Barbara is survived by her soulmate, Glen "Plum" Khorman; daughter, Bobbie Cooley; nieces, Angie Gaylord and Leigh Gaylord Meek; nephew, Matt Gaylord; special friend, Joe Clarke; and sister-in-law, Patsy Freeman; along with numerous cousins and a huge fan club.

Barbara never met a stranger. She was known for her sassiness, quick wit and her outrageous sense of humor. We never knew what was going to come out of her mouth. She was the Lucille Ball of Polk County. Her laughter was contagious, her love for people was outstanding. Barbara loved music. Her favorites included Web Pierce, Elvis, Johnny Rodriguez, Emmylou Harris, Gene Watson, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, and Elton John.

A very large shout out to CHI St. Luke's Livingston Emergency Room, EMS Responders, Woodland Heights Medical Center's Emergency Room, ICU, Step Down and Surgery Staff.
