Services for Barbara Starr Newton, 53, of Livingston, Texas, will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas with Rev. Fred Alford officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM, just prior to service time on Thursday.

Barbara was born on June 1, 1960 in Port Arthur, Texas and passed away on March 31, 2014 in Livingston, Texas. She worked as a caregiver for special needs patients. She is preceded in death by her parents, James Buford Bradshaw and Dorothy Irene (Greer) Hooker.

She is survived by her husband, Terry Newton of Livingston, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Christopher Bradshaw and wife Kendra of Houston, Texas; sister, Catherine McKenzie of Houston, Texas; step-son, Terry Newton of Lufkin, Texas; step-daughter, Brandy Newton of Lufkin, Texas; grandchildren, Mya Bradshaw, Tyler Bradshaw, Jade Bradshaw, Kaden Deans, Keandra Beasley, and Ciera Newton; nephew, Marcus Bradshaw of Cleveland, Texas; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
