Barbara Ann Ryan passed away Saturday June 7, 2008 at her residence. Funeral services will be Tuesday June 10, 2008 at 10:00AM in the Cochran Funeral Home with Rev. Barry Jeffries officiating. Burial will follow at 2:00PM in the Grandview Memorial Park in Pasadena.

Barbara was born Friday December 23, 1927 in Tulsa, OK., to parents Daniel and Lola Lewis Berry. She married her husband of nearly 60 years Dennis Ryan on October 8, 1949 in Coffeyville, Kansas.

Barbara participated in many missionary trips to Mexico City, Matamoros, Mexico doing vacation bible schools. She was also a member of the Deer Park Garden Club and then became a member of the Polk County Garden Club after moving to Livingston. Barbara and Dennis were the only husband and wife team that graduated together from The National Council of State Garden Clubs. She was also a longtime member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and had been honored with the Order of Rose.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Daniel Wade Berry.

She is survived by her husband Dennis, son and daughter in law Michael & Wilma Ryan of Baton Rouge, La., daughter and son in law Nancy & Gary Cunningham of San Augustine, daughter Sarah Ryan of Kyle, son Timothy Ryan of Pasadena, brother Richard Berry of Durant, OK., sister Norma Lee Brashear of Lufkin, and brother George Berry of Taylor. She is also survived by her grandchildren Julianne Hoy and husband Jonathan, Brandy Ryan, Cheri Ryan, David Cunningham, and John Cunningham, and her great grandchildren Izabella Hoy, Sawyer Hoy, Zoe, Justin, and Matthew Cunningham.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and the Polk County Garden Club.

The family has ask in lie of flowers donations be made in honor and memory of Barbara Ryan to the Go and Tell Ministries at 1474 West Price Rd. # 131, Brownsville, Tx 78520
