Funeral services for Barbara Lakota Thomas, 69, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas. Interment will follow in the Bluff Creek Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held Friday, February 5, 2016 beginning at 5:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.
Mrs. Thomas was born September 26, 1946 in Conroe, Texas to parents, John Dennis Lakota, and Anna Catherine (Brooks) Lakota and passed away February 1, 2016 in Livingston, Texas. During her life, she was the dispatcher for the Livingston Police Department and the Livingston Fire Department. She is preceded in death by her parents; and granddaughter, Maegan Kristian Eubanks.
She is survived by her husband, Milton "Buddy" Thomas of Livingston, Texas; daughter, Kay Eubanks Berry of Livingston, Texas; son, Mike Eubanks and Krystal of Jasper, Texas; daughter, Glenda Thomas Johnson and Bruce Wayne of Livingston, Texas; daughter, Dr. Virginia Meister and Charles of Hockley, Texas; grandchildren, Ashley Berry, Taylor Johnson, Hunter Eubanks, Brandon Meister, and Bradley Meister, great-grandson, Michael Gagnon; sister, Sharon Lesieur of Pearlington City, Mississippi; and brother, Jerry Lakota of Tyler, Texas; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
