Funeral services for Barney Gene Hollingshead, 76, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Sunday, November 3, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Mike Meadows officiating. Interment will follow Restland Memorial Park in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held Sunday, November 3, 2013, before the service begins, from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas.

Mr. Hollingshead was born April 14, 1927 in Neches, Anderson County, Texas and passed away Friday, November 1, 2013 in Livingston, Texas. He was member Central Baptist Church in Livingston, Texas. He was the owner of Barney's Roller Rink for many years. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He is preceded in death by his parents: Barney Blu Hollingshead and Mary (Teal) Hollingshead; and best friend: Gene Dueboay.

He is survived by his wife: Leatha Nan Hollingshead of Livingston, Texas; daughters and sons-in-law: Karen and Keith Needham of Livingston, Texas and Kathy and Al Campbell of Livingston, Texas; stepchildren and spouses: Paula and Gary Smith of Wallace, Texas, Guy Cherry of Seabrook, Texas, Jack and Lavonna Thomas of Lovelady, Texas, Leatha and Clint Greenwood of Tomball, Texas; grandchildren: Kristin Lee, Dakota Lester, Nickolas Blank, Kristopher Campbell, Kyle Needham, Kristi Smith, Ryan Smith, Andrew Smith, Kandice Rodriquez, Shannon Adams, Laura Cherry, Jaqulyn Thomas, Timothy Benyo, Lauren Benyo; great grandchildren: Adrien Lee, Leyton Smith, Hudson Smith, Kehlen Jace Smith, Mason Adams; brother and sister-in-law: Glen and Margaret Hollingshead of Lumberton, Texas; sister and brother-in-law: Pat and Jim Massingill of Lufkin, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
