Benard ""Benny"" Klawinsky Sr. 79 of Point Blank, passed away Wednesday May 20, 2009 in Humble. Funeral services will be held in his honor 10:00AM Saturday May 23, 2009 in the St. Josephs Catholic Church with Father Cliffton Labbe officiating. Burial will follow at 2:00PM in the Rosewood Cemetery in Humble. A rosary will be held Friday May 22, 2009 in the Cochran Fuenral Home Chapel from 6:00PM until 9:00PM.

Benny was born August 17, 1929 in Richards, Texas to parents Will Klawinsky and Cicile Hyman Klawinsky. He was a devouted member of the St. Josephs Catholic Church, and very proud of his Polish heritage. Benny married his wife Vera Louise Case on August 24, 1946 in Jasper Texas. He is preceded in death by his wife, daughters Katherine Louise Reed, and Barbara Joyce Klawinsky.

He is survived by his daughters Johnie Faye Sneed of Hurst, Dorothy Ellaine Smith of Georgetown, Wilma Carol Jordan of Baytown, Merry Cecilia Austin of Burnet, Susan Anne Jackson of Houston, Theresa Rosene Byrd of Nederland, and Josephine Dee Hanzlicek of Beaumont, sons Benard George Klawinsky Jr. of Houston, Stanley Arthur Klawinsky of Houston and William Calvin Klawinsky of Point Blank. He is also surivived by his brother Johnny W. Klawinsky, and his grandchildren James, Jennifer, Janice, Jessica, Dubie, Tim Jr., Marietta, Jesse, Julia, Gary, Roberta, Misty, Ryan, Gabrielle, Jonathan, Nicole, Bart, Corbin, Henry, Amber, Joseph, John, Jacob, Adam, Kristen and Dustin. His great grandchildren also survive him Timberlyn, Trystan, Trip, Cohen, Carson, Claire, Hayden, Harley, Bailey, CoraLynn, Michelle, Marisa, Jonathan Jr., Hailey, Kaitlyn, Madison, and Jaden.

Serving as pallbearers will be Joseph Jackson, Ryan Smith, Heath Green, John Byrd, Jesse Sneed and James Klawinsky.
