Funeral services for Bera Hayes will be held Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Jones-Prairie Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held Saturday, May 11, 2024, from 9:30-11:00 a.m., at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas.

Bera Mae "Sis" Parrish Hayes passed away at the age of 95 on April 29, 2024 in Richardson TX. She was born April 12, 1929 in Leggett TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lowman W. Parrish and Dovie Abercrombie Parrish; brothers, L.W. "Pete" Parrish, Charles Truett Parrish, and Clarence "Punk" Parrish; and son in law, George Mabry.

She is survived by her children, Charles Keith Hayes and wife Cathy of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Claire Denise Mabry of Richardson, Texas; grandchildren, Kelly Meyer and husband Johnnie of Chandler, Arizona, Colin Hayes and Melissa of Denver, Colorado, and Kara Livingston and husband Alex of Tijeras, New Mexico; great granddaughters, Madilyn and Kimberly of Chandler, Arizona, and Ellie and Brayden of Denver, Colorado; and brother, Boyce Parrish and wife JoAnn of Leggett, Texas; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Bera graduated from Leggett High School and attended Sam Houston State University. She was employed for 29 years by Chase Bank in Houston. She retired in 1991 and moved from Houston to Garland, Texas. She was a member of Northlake Baptist Church of Garland.
