Graveside services for Bernice Pitts Cooper, of Onalaska, Texas will be held Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., at Bold Springs Cemetery in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Steve Waldrep officiating.

Bernice died peacefully at her home on October 5, 2024. It was her 92nd birthday.

She was born in Baytown, Texas to Drew & Edrie Pitts on October 5, 1932. She had 4 siblings that have all preceded her in death. She married Charles J. Cooper and resided in Houston for many years. She retired from ARCO after many years as head of their payroll, then moved to Onalaska for retirement. She enjoyed keeping up to date on current events, playing games (such as bingo), and spending time with her pets. She also created many beautiful crochet pieces for family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband of many years, Charles Cooper; and her son, Mark Cooper. She leaves behind her sons, Charles Cooper, Jr. and wife Gloria of Onalaska, Texas, Ricky Cooper of Onalaska, Texas, and Rocky Cooper of Houston, Texas; along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends.
