Memorial services for Betsy Waite Pead, 73, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Thursday, July 16, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Escapes Care Center in Livingston, Texas with Ray Gearing officiating.

Mrs. Pead was born August 14, 1941 in San Francisco, California to parents, Samuel Leroy Barnes and Katherine (Wehner) Barnes, and passed away July 8, 2015 in Livingston, Texas. She was a very, very, loving and doting grandmother. She was an avid square dancer and enjoyed square dancing for at least 30 years. She was active with the SPCA for several years and was a part of various local bridge clubs. She is preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Pead of Livingston, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy Williams and Rick of Portland, Oregon; granddaughter, Nicole Williams of Portland, Oregon; sister and brother-in-law, Shirley Bell and Jerry of Livingston, Texas; step children, Becki Mosser and Michael Pead; nieces and nephews, Tracy Bane, Dale Bell, Dan Bell, Rob Bell, David Bell, Ron Bell; along with many other relatives and numerous friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the SPCA of Polk County.
