Funeral services for Bettie Katherine Paredes, 81, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Friday, July 15, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Gregory Gerald officiating. Interment will follow in the Peebles Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held Friday, July 15, 2022 from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m., before the service begins, in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas.

Mrs. Paredes was born February 15, 1941 in Livingston, Texas and passed away July 11, 2022 in Houston, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, John "Jack" Nettles and Katie (Maze) Nettles.

She is survived by her husband, Pablo Paredes of Livingston, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Clyde Dewayne Oates and JoAnn of Livingston, Texas; son, Deryl Keith Oates and Libby of Livingston, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Candi Denice Oates-Reyes and Matt of Livingston, Texas; and son, Ty Paredes of Livingston, Texas: along with numerous other relatives and friends.
