Betty Gail Bramblett was born November 30, 1942, in Brownwood, Texas to Claude and Velma Townsend Bramblett. She attended elementary school in Mullin, Texas, spending her later school years in Goldthwaite, Texas where she graduated from Goldthwaite High School in 1961. After high school, she perused a Bachelor's degree in Education, from Howard Payne University. She graduated in only three years, in 1964, so that she could help pay for the college education of her younger sister, Willa Jean.
In the early 1980's, and while teaching full-time in the Temple Independent School district, she began her pursuit of a Master's Degree in education from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, Texas, graduating in 1983. In later years, she also received her Administrative Certification from Sam Houston State University, giving her the ability to serve as a principal in the state of Texas.
Spending over 35 years in education, Betty taught in the cities of Evant, Lampasas, Temple and Livingston, serving as principal of Timbercreek Elementary in Livingston, Texas for 11 years. After her retirement, she served as interim principal at Goodrich Elementary for a period of time. Betty loved her students and co-workers, forming many lifelong friendships and was respected by many.
At the time of her passing, Betty was a member of Beacon Bay Baptist Church. In previous years she had been a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, the National Education Association and the Rotary Club of Livingston, having been honored with the Paul Harris Award for service in education.
Betty enjoyed cooking, entertaining friends and co-workers, summers living on Lake Livingston fishing and boating, but most of all, loved her children, grandchild and great-grandchildren.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Velma Bramblett, her sister, Willa Jean Bramblett Budden and husband, Harlis Calvin Jackson.
She is survived by her husband of over 20 years, David Quinones of Livingston, daughter Marsha Gallagher and husband Creg of Brenham, son Charles Ivy and Nacole Rodgers of Livingston, granddaughter Madison Abigail Murray of Woodville, and Daisy Mae Bryant of Livingston, and great grandchildren, Cooper Kate Hall and Chet Lane Tucker, of Woodville.
A graveside service will be held at North Brown Cemetery just outside of her hometown of Goldthwaite, Texas with interment to follow. The family will announce the date and time when arrangements are complete.
The family would also like to extend their immense appreciation for care provided by Dr. Raymond Luna, FNP Ann Luna, Dr. Jeffrey Luna and caregiver Holly Hatcher.
