Betty Lou Patterson 79 of Livingston passed away January 7, 2009 at her home. Funeral services were held Saturday January 10, 2008 in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Forrest Land officiating. Burial followed in the Peebles Cemetery.

Betty was born July 28, 1929 to parents Harold and Essie Allen Kingery. She taught Sunday school for many years at the Bible Baptist Church. Betty will be remembered as a good mother and grandmother.

She preceded in death by her parents, daughter Jenny Lou Ulrich, granddaughter Jenny Rebecca Rue, grandson Cedric Alfonso Rue, and grandson Charles Alvie Taylor.

Betty is survived by her husband Robert W. Patterson of Livingston, children Linda Sue Rue of Romayer, Victor Allen Smith and wife Patti of Texas City, Denise Allen and husband Jerry of Rye, Dobbie Wayne Patterson of Rye, and Danny Lee Holton and wife Joyce of Washington, grandchildren Victor Allen Smith Jr., Steven Smith, Haley Saunders, Ben Ellison, Luke Allen, Garrett Patterson and wife Sabrina, Wyatt Patterson, Morgan Patterson, Desimber Patterson, Bailey Patterson, Eric Watkins, Shelia Manley, Misty Rue, Laura and Katy, great grandchildren Stephen, Bo, Jase, Courtney, Josh, Mandy, Sawyer, Austin, Jasmine, Katelyn, Kloee, Skyler, Saven, and great great grandchild Sidney Smith. She is also survived by her sister in laws and brother in laws, Dorothy Watkins and husband Lucian, James Patterson and wife Joenell, Doris Jackson, Irene Blanco and husband Joe, Margret Ann Rose and husband Bob, Erlene Harper, Bobby Patterson and wife Cynthia, Frankie Patterson and wife Charlotte. Her beloved best friend Gwen Lindgren, and care giver Denise Willis also survive her.

Serving as pallbearers were Garrett Patterson, Savan Alfonso Rue, Steven Smith, Eric Watkins, Luke Allen, Ben Ellison.
