Funeral services for Betty Gwen Thompson, 76, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Sunday, May 10, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Indian Village Assembly of God Church in Livingston, Texas with Rev. David Busby officiating. Interment will follow in the Alabama-Coushatta Indian Reservation Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held Saturday, May 9, 2015 beginning at 5:00 p.m. in the Indian Village Assembly of God Church in Livingston, Texas.

Mrs. Thompson was born February 7, 1939 in Livingston, Texas to parents, Woodrow Wilson Battise and Eleanor (Abbey) Battise, and passed away May 7, 2015 in Lufkin, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Scott Thompson; brother, Brooks Battise; sister, Noralee Langley.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ben Thompson of Livingston, Texas; daughter, Missy Thompson-Janis of Livingston, Texas; son, Jason Thompson of Tyler, Texas; daughter, Cheri Polite of Livingston, Texas; daughter, Amy Battise of New Jersey, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, Arnold and Jo Ann Battise Livingston, Texas; sister, Linda Small and Wayne of The Woodlands, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Grace and Sidney Poncho of Livingston, Texas; grandchildren, David Battise, Daniel Battise, Candice Polite-Robinson, Kianna Thompson, Ryan Thompson, Ryanna Thompson, Rylan Thompson, Jaycee Thompson, Benjamin Hurst, Shelbie Hurst, Pamela Hurst, Carson Janis, America Janis; numerous great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
