Bettye Evelyn Lowrey 65 of Livingston passed way Saturday March 7, 2009 at her home with her family by her side. Funeral services will be held 10:00AM Thursday March 12, 2009 in Cochran Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Edwards officiating.

Bettye was born October 26, 1943 in Long Beach, CA., to parents Wallace Alfred Ellis and Cecilia Josephine Cox Ellis. She is preceded in death by her parents, daughters Theresa Edwards, and Carolyn Ann Buntney, son Jerry Wayne Rinehart, and 3 brothers.

She is survived by her husband Arnold Dean Lowrey of Livingston, sister Mary Boone of Livingston, children Katrina Zapalac and husband Jimmy of Pasadena, William Rinehart and wife Paula of Livingston, Gary Lowrey of Houston, Philip Lowrey and wife Joyce of Louisiana, Cecilia Rosemary Rinehart and husband Darrell Jones of Conroe, and son in law Johnny Edwards of Deer Park. She is also survived by her grandsons Jeremy Zapalac, Shawn Zapalac, James McCory, Kelly Crawford, and Logan Jones, granddaughters Amber Rinehart, Rachel Tucker, Valerie Lowrey, Tiffany Lowrey, and Angela Smith, and great grandchildren Faith Ann McCory, and Seth Smith.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jerry Halford, Anthony Vela, Gary Teel, Sidney West, Gary Lawrey, and Pat Boone.
