November 11, 1928 to September 7, 2012
Beverie Ruth Craig, age 83, passed away at her home in Livingston, Texas, on September 7, 2012. She was born on November 11, 1928, in Livingston, to parents Matthew & Cleonis Milling Murphy. Beverie married John Craig in Polk County, Texas, on August 6, 1949. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Livingston. Beverie is preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother, Neal Murphy. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Norb Roobaert of Galveston; son, John Craig of Spring; grandchildren, Katie and Robin Smith, Kristen Craig, Kellie Craig, Jake and Kelly Close, John Close and Jessica Bell; great grandchildren, Rachel Bell, Kelsey Close and Claire Smith; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Walter Drawe of Livingston; sister-in-law, Gloria Murphy of Livingston; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Sunday, September 9, 2012 for family from 4:00 PM-5:00 PM and friends from 5:00 PM- 9:00 PM.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 10, 2012, at Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston. Rev. Brett Lester will conduct the services. Pallbearers: Jake Close, John Close, Gary Don Murphy, Tommy Murphy, Ron Griffin and Tommy Clifton. Interment will be held at Forest Hill Cemetery in Livingston, following the chapel service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Gideon' or First Baptist Church in Livingston, Texas.
