Obituary
Graveside services for Bill Sorrells, 91, of Onalaska, Texas, will be held Sunday, November 29, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Magnolia Cemetery in Onalaska, Texas with The Rev. Link Hullar officiating. Military honors will be provided by VFW Post# 8568.
Mr. Sorrells was born October 22, 1924 in Dallas, Texas to parents, James Franklin Sorrells and Ola (Lloyd) Sorrells, and passed away November 24, 2015 in Bellville, Texas. During his life, he proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Garnet Nell Sorrells; and brothers, George Sorrells and James Sorrells.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Christina and Leon Stinson of Bellville, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Greg Elliott of Bonita Springs, Florida; grandson, Guy Stinson and wife, Natalie of Richmond, Texas; granddaughter, Terry Vandomelen and husband, Cliff of Richmond, Texas; granddaughter, Amy Elliott and husband, Michael Seamands of St. Louis, Missouri; granddaughter, Ashley Elliott of Carbondale, Illinois; great-grandchildren, Morgan Vandomelen, Bailey Vandomelen, Tyler Stinson and Kyle Stinson; brother and sister-in-law, Dick and Sophie Sorrells of Cibalo, Texas; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
