Obituary
Funeral services for Billy Gerald Wilkinson age 62 of Corrigan, Texas will be held Tuesday February 8, 2011 at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston with Lesly Wilkinson and John F. Clifton officiating and interment to follow in the Union Springs Cemetery in Corrigan, Texas. Pallbearers will be Roy King, Jr., Gary Dean, Charles Yeager, John D. Clifton, Jr., Hayden Irwin and Bill Frizzle. Honorary Pallbearers will be the men of the Union Springs Missionary Baptist Church.
He was born March 1, 1948 in Livingston, Texas the son of Carney G. Wilkinson and Nettie Murry Wilkinson and passed away February 5, 2011 at his home in Corrigan.
Billy was a member of the Shepherd Masonic Lodge, a member of the San Jacinto County Go-Texan Committee for over 10 plus years and a deacon of the Union Springs Missionary Baptist Church. He was the ""supervisor"" of many community fundraisers and charitable events around the area. But above all, most important to him, was his church and his church works.
He is survived by his wife Shirley Wilkinson of Corrigan, Lesly & Shelly Wilkinson, son and daughter in law of Hudson, Texas, Billy Shane & Gina Wilkinson, son and daughter in law of Corrigan, and his very special little granddaughter, Gracie. Billy is also survived by Greg & Martha Wilkinson, brother and sister in law of Rusk, Texas, Wanda Williams, sister of Waco, Texas, Sue & Ernie Rush, sister and brother in law of Kingwood, Texas, Addron Crowson, mother in law of Shepherd, Texas, R.L. Crowson, brother in law of Jewett, Texas, Pat & Richard O?ÇÖKelley, sister in law and brother in law of Texas City, Texas, John & Connie Crowson, brother in law & sister in law of Lovelady, Texas, Peggy & Tom Ratliff, sister in law and brother in law of Corrigan, Nadine & Calvin Smith, sister in law & brother in law of Orlando, Florida, James Crowson, brother in law of Shepherd, Texas, Kathy & Charles Wright, sister in law and brother in law of Dickinson, Texas, Dee & Velma Wilkinson, uncle and aunt of Livingston, Winn & Harry Skidmore, aunt and uncle of Dayton, Texas and special friends Marvin and Mae McKnight.
