Obituary
Funeral services for Bob Custer Arriola, 88, of Shepherd, Texas, will be held Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Leroy Surface officiating. Military honors will be provided by VFW Post #8568. Interment will take place at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2016 in the Arriola/Cooke Cemetery in Nacogdoches, Texas. Visitation will be held Friday, May 13, 2016 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.
Mr. Arriola was born on June 11, 1927 in Nacogdoches, Texas to parents, Frank Arriola and Dollie (Sanches) Arriola, and passed away May 8, 2016 in Webster, Texas. During his life, he proudly served his county in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was also a minister and a missionary in Mexico. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dixie Arriola; brother, Tom Arriola; and sister, Evie Cooke.
He is survived by his daughter, Carolyn Varcados and Michael of Mancos, Colorado; grandsons, Jack Varcados of Mancos, Colorado, and Bob Varcados and Melissa of Mancos, Colorado; granddaughter, Erene Cobb and William of Seabrook, Texas; great-grandsons, Braden Orsak of Pearland, Texas, Charlie Cobb and Sam Cobb both of Seabrook, Texas; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
