Graveside services for Bobbie Jean Ranton Kitchings of Pearland, Texas, will be held Monday, July 23, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. in the Sardis Cemetery in Ellis County, Texas. Visitation will be held Monday, July 23, 2018 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., before the service, in the Sardis Cemetery in Ellis County, Texas.

Bobbie Jean Ranton Kitchings, 86, went home to be with the Lord on July 18, 2018 in Pearland, Texas. Bobbie was born on September 6, 1931 in Palmer, Texas to Bob and Clara (Brazier) Ranton. She grew up in the Ike Community and graduated from Waxahachie High School. She spent most of her career working in the space program and retired from General Electric at NASA. Bobbie spent many years in La Porte, Texas, before retiring to Lake Livingston where she enjoyed life on the lake. Bobbie was a devoted Christian and much loved wife, mother and grandmother.

She is predeceased by her parents and siblings: Lewis and James Ranton, Gwen Ranton, Joyce Ecklberger. She is also predeceased by husbands James Alexander and Mitchell Kitchings.

She is survived by brother, Gerald "Butch" Ranton and sister-in-law JoAnn Ranton. She also leaves behind daughter Debra (Frank) Klein, grandchildren Scott (Elizabeth) Klein, Shelley (Shawn) Lesco and Samantha (Ron) Capehart. Her most precious treasures were her grandchildren Dylan, Kelly, Kayleigh, Hannah, Sarah, J.T., Claire and Hazel. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
