Funeral services for Bobbie Lou Segrest, 85, of Livingston, Texas, will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, April 14, 2014 at Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas with Pastor Mike Meadows, Rev. John Wilhelm, and Bro. Martin Bienvenue officiating. Interment will follow in Midway Cemetery in the Midway Community, Texas. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 9:00 PM, Saturday, April 12, 2014 and Sunday, April 13, 2014, at Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Mrs. Segrest was born on February 21, 1929 in Livingston, Texas and passed away on April 9, 2014 in Livingston, Texas. She attended nursing school at San Jacinto College and worked in Livingston at the hospital for 13 years. She also took care of many Livingston residents as a private nurse. She was a Baptist by faith, with a heart of gold, and one of the biggest givers ever known. Any time anyone came to her house to visit, she always wanted to cook for them and insist they stay as long as they like, needless to say she loved company and was an excellent host. She was a true grandmother who loved and adored her grandchildren, Heath and Heather; her great-grandchildren were also the light of her life. She will be dearly missed by many and will never be forgotten. Heaven has gained another beautiful angel. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Cuba (Hales) Hubert; husband, Milton Allen Segrest; and granddaughter, Heather Dorris Ramsey.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Tim Syms of Livingston, Texas; grandson, Heath Allen Dorris of Livingston, Texas; grandson-in-law, Jeremy Ramsey of Marquez, Texas; great-grandchildren, Chloe, Carter, Hunter, and Maddie; brother and sister-in-law, Robert Hubert and Leighnae of Livingston, Texas; sister-in-law, Virginia Kovaly and Jerry of Houston, Texas; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Segrest will be escorted to her grave by pallbearers, Mickey Hubert, Lynn Hubert Jr., Aaron Hubert, John Wesley Hubert, Dale Hubert, and Eddie Wayne Ward. Honorary pallbearers include, Robert Lynn Hubert Sr., Jeremy Ramsey, Jerry Kovaly, Bob Smith, Fred Smith, Corky Cochran, Bubba Piper, Charlie Hubert, Wayne Hubert, James Richardson, and Glenn Hubert.
