Bobby Gene Cassity, Sr., faithful servant to our Lord, Jesus Christ, was welcomed at the heavenly gates on Saturday, February 17, 2018. Bobby passed away peacefully in his home at the age of 84. Bobby's life will be celebrated at Cochran Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 11:00 A.M with Bro. Dwayne Sisk officiating. Interment will follow at the Guedry Cemetery in Batson, Texas. Visitation will begin at 5:00 P.M., Monday, February 19, 2018 at the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Mr. Cassity was born February 15, 1934 in Long Branch, Texas, to parents, Cecil Cassity and Evelyn Louene (Jarrell) Cassity. He is preceded in death by his parents, son, Bobby Cassity, Jr.; sister, Jane Alvin Myrow; and brother, Jimmy Cassity.

Bobby was a loving husband, devoted father, tender grandfather, and a cherished friend. His family will forever remember him as a selfless patriarch. His generosity to his friends and to the community will be felt for generations to come. His personality and smile will echo in the memories of those who knew him.

Bobby will always be remembered as a successful businessman. He was a realist. Though he had dreams like everyone else, he converted his dreams into goals and he achieved every goal he sought. Bobby was a man who saw light when others viewed darkness. His gracious acts brighten the lives of many. His light will never fade.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Cassity of Moss Hill, Texas; daughter, Teresa Nelson and husband, Russ of Kingwood, Texas; stap-daughters, Kelly Stuart and husband, Caleb, and Karen Sorensen and husband, Glenn; grandchildren, Daina Dalton and husband, Chad, Christine Sanford and husband, Chris, Christopher Cassity, Ashlee Cassity, Terease Cassity, Leyson Cassity, Ethan Sorensen, Erin Sorensen, Paige Stuart, Payton Stuart, and Pyper Stuart; great-grandchildren, Paris Cassity, Jack Dalton, and Jacob Dalton; and brother, Cecil "Sonny" Cassity and wife, Marjorie; along with numerous other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
