Obituary
Mr. Gokey was born February 27, 1932 in Punta Gorda, Florida to parents, Charles Ray Gokey and Willie Mae (Harrison) Gokey, and passed away August 7, 2015 in Livingston, Texas. He graduated from Goodrich High School in 1950 and went on to own and operate Gokey's Plumbing for over 60 years. He was also the original owners of Gokey's General Store. Bobby was very proud to have lived his entire life in the community that he loved – Goodrich, Texas.
Bobby is survived by his loving companion, Doris Nerren; his daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Kenneth Hambrick of Goodrich, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Bobby Gokey Jr. and Patty of Goodrich, Texas; daughter, Nita Gokey of Goodrich, Texas; grandson and wife, Robert and Krystal Gokey of Porter, Texas; sister-in-law, Sandra Gokey of Livingston, Texas; brother and wife, Curtis and Gwen Gokey of Livingston, Texas; also numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Willie Mae of Goodrich, Texas; the mother of his children, Juanita; his precious infant great-granddaughter, Lillian Gokey; and his brother, Charles Gokey.
