Bobblene Murphy, 81 years of age. Born and raised in Hattiesburs, MS. Came to Houston in 1953. There she met and married the love of her life, Enneth Murphy in 1954. To this union two children were born, a daughter, Cindy, and a son, Darrell.
Funeral services for Bobbylene Murphy will be 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Robert Smith and Bro. Quentin Matthews officiating. Interment will follow at the Camp Ruby Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will began at 5:00 P.M. Monday, April 14, 2014 in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel.
Mrs. Murphy loved being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved being a friend to all. She was a faithful servant of the Lord Jesus Christ and loved the Lord with all her heart. She attended Midway Community Church.
Mrs. Murphy worked in a local grocery store as produce manger for 22 years and it was a very special part of her life. There she had many wonderful friends and treasured the customers she served. Through the years many young people came and went. She worked with three very special dear friends, Melvin Stephens, Tracy Hilton, and Paul Brown and their friendship remained all these years. Mrs. Murphy retired in 1989 to enjoy gardening, canning vegetables, cooking for friends and family and all drop ins were welcome to eat at her table.
Mrs. Murphy was treasurer for Camp Ruby Cemetery for seven years. A job she loved dearly. She made many wonderful friends over the years.
Mrs. Murphy is survived by her husband of 59 years. One daughter, Cindy and husband, Mike Nichols of Tomball; one son, Darrell and wife, Sharon Murphy of Camp Ruby; two grandchildren, Autumn and husband, John Cox of Camp Ruby; one grandson, Kabe and wife Chelesa Murphy of Camp Ruby; six great-grandchildren, Chloe, Paige, Lev and Hayes Cox of Camp Ruby, Eli and Dax Murphy of Camp Ruby; two sister-in-laws, Audra Murphy of Livingston, Murel Welch of the Bradford in Livingston; a host of nieces and nephews. Also, one dearly beloved friend, Violet Baily of Camp Ruby and two special people in her life, Genny and Kenneth Devoltz of Camp Ruby.
Pallbearers: RandyVan Wagner, Tommy Slack, O.L. Collins, Randy Hinson, Larry Welch, Ronald Cox, Don Fancett.
Honorary pallbearers: Glen Goodwin, Kabe Murphy and John Cox.
