Obituary
Burice "Pappy" Baxley passed away peacefully at the age of 97 in Livingston, Texas. Burice was born to Jefferson Davis and Bertie Ruth (Tull) Baxley on September 14, 1924 in Satin, Texas.
He married Jonnie Taylor and was married for 67 years. Together they raised 3 sons: Jeffrey, Robert, and Cloy.
Burice served in World War II in the U.S. Army. He worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad for 41 years managing heavy equipment and water treatment.
"Pappy" -as most called him- was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys, and kept his yard perfectly mowed. He was loved by all and will be missed.
He is survived by his wife Jonnie; son Cloy and wife Bonnie; his wonderful grandchildren- Jeff Baxley, Sarah and Eric Wood, Amy and Eric Brown, Cyndie and Andy Schmidt, Jenny and Alex Gutierrez, and 14 GREAT-grandchildren.
A small family graveside service will be held Friday at Bluff Creek Cemetery.
