The family requires that anyone wishing to attend the visitation and/or the graveside service, must practice social distancing and wear a facial covering. Graveside services for Burke Walker, 92, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Sunday, December 20, 2020 at 2:30 p.m. in the Alabama-Coushatta Reservation Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. until the precession leaves for the cemetery at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 20, 2020 in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Mr. Walker was born June 27, 1928 in Polk County, Texas to parents, Joshua Walker and Mattie Sue (Poncho) Walker, and passed away December 15, 2020 in Kingwood, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lydia Walker; son, Mack Walker; daughter-in-law, Judith Walker; grandson, Bradley Walker; and granddaughter, Lindsey Williams. During his life, Mr. Walker served his country in the United States Army during WWII. He was the oldest tribal veteran.

He is survived by his daughter, Judy Williams and husband, Roy of Livingston; son, Johnny Walker and wife, Sandra of Livingston; grandchildren, Ruby Thompson of Livingston, Joseph Williams of Lufkin, Meagan Williams of Lubbock, Krissi Walker of Lufkin; Shaun Walker and wife, Nacole of Livingston, Leeza Walker, Joanna Walker, and Dylan Walker all of Livingston; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Charles Battise, Milton Redd Williams, and Oscar L. Williams; and sisters, Marville Price, Ada Faye Polite, and Nettie Lee Poncho; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
