A private, family graveside service for Emma (Byrne) Morrison Phillips, 95, of Livingston, Texas will be held Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., at the Moscow Cemetery in Moscow, Texas.

Byrne was born July 14, 1929 in Lufkin, Texas and passed away March 22, 2025 in Lufkin, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Simon Henderson Morrison and Eula (Weems) Morrison; and husband, James Wallace Phillips.

She was raised in Camden, Texas and left high school in Chester, Texas at the age of 16 to attend and graduate from Sam Houston State Universtiy with a degree in business.

She married James Wallace (Jimmy) Phillips in 1951 in Livingston. With her marriage of 63 years came travel to oilfields around the world, residing in Tripoli, Libya, and Aberdeen, Scotland, as well as different states in the U.S.

She is survived by her son; Wallace Phillips and Sandra of Lufkin, Texas; daughter, Amy Byrne Phillips and Randy Scroggins of Houston, Texas; granddaughter, Amanda Phillips English and Andrew; grandson, Wayne Phillips; and great grandsons, Lucius Wallace Phillips and Scout English; along with numerous other loved ones and friends.
