Byron Pope was born on January 1, 1954 in Houston, Texas and passed away on May 12, 2017 in Livingston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his father, Russell L. Pope. During his lifetime, he was employed as a Texas Tax Appraiser for both Polk and San Jacinto Counties.

He is survived by his mother, Angie (Patterson) Pope of Livingston, Texas; daughter, Amanda E. Pope of Livingston, Texas; son, Russell "Levi" Pope of Spring, Texas; daughters, Elizabeth A. Pope Thompson and Cory of Conroe, Texas, and Vanessa E. Pope McDaniel and Sean of Liberty Hill, Texas,; grandchildren, Austin Jurek, Hayden Pope, Scarlet A. Kindle, Pyper Lynne Thompson, Bailey McDaniel, Zander C. McDaniel; sister, Rana Musarra and Dante of Chico, California; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
