C.A. Swilley, Sr., age 68, of New Willard, Texas, passed away on April 8, 2013 at his home in New Willard. C.A. was born on March 3, 1945, in Livingston, Texas, to parents, E.S. ""Bud"" and Melissa Lee Swilley.

C.A. is preceded in death by both of his parents. He is survived by his wife, Donna Swilley, of New Willard; son, Tony Swilley, of New Willard; son and daughter-in-law, Patrick Swilley and Sarah, of New Willard; son and daughter-in-law, Sammy Wright and Michele, of Houston; son, and daughter-in-law, Shannon Wise and Angela, of Livingston; daughter and son-in-law, Racquel Price and Eric, of Houston; daughter and son-in-law, Cara Swilley and Jerry Fender, of Livingston; daughter, Cala Swilley, of Livingston; sister, Suzanne Swilley, of New Willard; grandchildren, Gus Swilley, Jonathan Swilley, Patrick Swilley, Garrett Swilley, Shelbie Swilley, Robert Tate, Ashley Acosta, Tyler Wright, Kaelynn Wright, Carol Slack, John Slack, Samantha Wise, Faith Wise, Alex Price, Tori Price, Sarah Price, Kyle Fender, Bobby Ryans, Makayla Ryans; great-grandchild, Ivy Acosta; nephew, Terry Liner; nephew, Eugene Dent; niece, Kim Schoppe; along with numerous other relatives and friends. Mr. Swilley will be escorted to his grave by pallbearers from Polk County Sheriff' office.

C.A. Swilley served in the U.S. Army. He also served in law enforcement for over 30 years, the last 24 years prior to his retirement was served with Polk County Sheriff' Department.

Services for C.A. Swilley, Sr., will be held Saturday, April 13, 2013, at 2:00 PM, at Central Baptist Church in Livingston, Texas. Bro. Harold Isaacs will be officiating the service with the assistance of Pastor Mike Meadows. Interment will follow the service at Jones Prairie Cemetery, in Leggett, Texas. Military Honors will be provided by Polk County Sheriff' Department, Lufkin Police Department, DPS Honor Guard, and VFW Honor Guard Post 8568.

Visitation will be held Friday, April 12, 2013, at 12:00 PM until 10:00 PM, at Cochran Funeral Home, in Livingston, Texas, with the family receiving friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
