Memorial services for Calvin Rye Salter, 92, of Huntsville, Texas, will be held Sunday, January 14, 2018 at 4:30 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Harold Isaac officiating. Military Honors will be provided by VFW Post #8568.

Mr. Salter was born January 8, 1926 in Daisetta, Texas to parents, Thomas Salter and Lillie Pearl Salter, and passed away January 11, 2018 in Huntsville, Texas. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Louise Salter; and sons, Woody Salter and Mark Salter.

He is survived by his daughter, Sue Morrow and Bill of Austin, Texas; son, Mike Salter and Shannon of Round Rock, Texas; granddaughters, Kelly Goodson and Dennis of Weldon, Texas, Kristina Phillips and Keith of Huntsville, Texas, Madeline Salter of Round Rock, Texas, and Carson Salter of Round Rock, Texas; great-grandsons, Justin Upshaw and Maria of Willis, Texas, Cody Upshaw of Houston, Texas, Chandler Phillips of Huntsville, Texas, and Dawson Phillips of Huntsville, Texas; great-great granddaughters, Kelly Marie Upshaw, Mary Grace Upshaw, and Francesca Rose Upshaw all of Willis, Texas; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
