Carl was born July 30, 1949, in Trinity, Texas and passed away May 18, 2026, in Trinity, Texas.

Carl always told people that he was the first baby boy born in the new Trinity hospital. Then, he would tell them that Dr Barnes gave him his first, but not nearly his last spanking.

He started school in Trinity, but after 2nd grade, the family moved to Channelview, where he finished school. They then moved back to Trinity.

He worked with his dad for several years as an electrician.

On September 20, 1980, he married Sheran, the love of his life. Together they raised 2 boys, Travis and Tommy. He loved his family, which grew into a family with grandkids and great grandkids. He loved them everyone, and got so excited when he got to visit with them.

For 23 years, he worked for Windham School Systems in TDCJ, Ferguson Unit, but he would work part-time for different law enforcement agencies. He found law enforcement to be the perfect fit for his life. He started working as a deputy for Constable James Reynolds. When he retired from Windham and after the death of Constable Reynolds. Carl decided to run for Constable. He was elected for 3 terms. He loved every day of his work. He was always fair, firm and consistent. He gave people respect, even if he was arresting them or serving them with papers, as long as they didn't get smart or stupid with him. He was so saddened when health issues forced him to retire.

Carl loved his wife, Sheran and his sons. Travis and Tommy, all his grandchildren and great grandkids. He loved his total extended family on both his and Sheran's side. But then, he loved everyone. He was truly "a people person with a memory for names and dates that would astound everyone.

But more important than all of that, he loved the Lord Jesus Christ with all his heart. He didn't mind telling anyone about Him, and he grew stronger and closer in the Lord every day. He loved Trinity Church of God, and could not wait to get to service.

His best friend said, "The world was a better place with Carl Casey in it" I know this is true.

I can say with certainty that when Carl drew his last breath here on earth, he heard God say "Well done thou good and faithful servant"

Carl is survived by his wife, Sheran Casey; son, Travis Artherholt and wife Brenda; grandchildren, James Christopher Artherholt and Aire, Brittany Salvato and Chaz, Lynsay Porter and Richard, and Alysa Artherholt; great grandchildren, Karter Porter and Benjamin Salvato; and sister, Carolyn Frazier; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
