Carnie Wiley White of Livingston, Texas died Monday, October 14, 2013. He was born on August 3, 1916 to Elton and Grace Eaton White. He is preceded in death by his wife of 73 years, Letha White, and a daughter, Peggy Jane White.

Carnie is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Dianne White, of Tomball, Texas; grandchildren, Ashley White Allen of Tomball, Texas and Dr. Wade White and his wife Lesa of San Antonio, Texas; five great-grandchildren, Karle Allen, Taylor Allen, Walker White, Katie White and Jackson White; he is survived by many other relatives and a host of friends.

Carnie was born in Leggett, Texas and lived in Polk County all of his 97 years. He was an employee and later owner of Gerlach Hardware. His mind was sharp and his memory was good. Folks came to him for information about people and events from the past.

Funeral Services for Carnie White will be held Saturday, October 19, 2013, at 2:00 PM, at Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas. Bro. Harold Isaacs will be officiating the service. Interment will follow at Peebles Cemetery in Livingston, Texas.

Visitation will be held Friday, October 18, 2013, at 5:00 PM, also at Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston.
