Obituary

Memorial services for Patricia Carolyn Dudley, 71, of Bryan, Texas, will be held Sunday, February 11, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in the First Presbyterian Church in Bryan, Texas with Pastor Ted Foote officiating. A committal service will be held Monday, February 12, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Livingston, Texas.

Patricia Carolyn Dudley departed this life in San Antonio, Texas on February 7, 2018.

Carolyn was born on July 17, 1946 in Livingston, Texas to Dorothy Parker Callahan and Roy Callahan. Her parents instilled in her the value and importance of education. She graduated from Livingston High School in 1964 and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Sam Houston State University in 1967. In her career, she taught in several Texas school districts including Pasadena, Cypress-Fairbanks, Clear Creek, Bryan, and retiring from the Somerville ISD in 2012.   Carolyn has resided in Bryan, Texas since 2003.

Carolyn was a loving mother, grandmother, and aunt. Carolyn is survived by her daughter Alison Dudley and husband Craig Clingan of San Antonio, sister Elizabeth Smith (husband, Herman Smith) of Mabank, Texas; Fiance Dave Lyons of Bryan, Texas; one grandchild, Owen Clingan of San Antonio; and one nephew, Captain Ryan Smith, USAF (wife, 1 st . Lt. Melanie Smith, USAF) of Cheyenne, Wyoming. She was "Kaki" to Family and extended family members including Dave's children and grandchildren; Courtney Lyons-Garcia (husband, Mark) and David Lyons (wife,Shanna); Bryce, Sydney, William, and Michael.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Throughout her life, Carolyn was involved in various social and civic activities including: Zeta Tau Alpha, Junior Forum of San Antonio, Women's Club of Bryan, and member of the First Presbyterian Church, Bryan. She was an avid fan of Texas A&M Athletics, holding season tickets for football, men's and women's basketball, and baseball being a member of the A&M baseball dugout club, Blairs Buddies for women's basketball.
