Carolyn Tribe Henry was reunited with her three sons and two grandsons in heaven on May 31 at 3:58 pm in Houston, Texas.

She was born on January 23, 1940 in Houston to Russell and Sarah Davis Tribe. She grew up in Ace, TX and graduated from Livingston High School in 1957. Her father owned the General Store in Ace where she had fond memories with childhood friends.

She is survived by three children, Janet Hobizal (Michael), John Barrett (Kelly) and Karan Cowan (Michael). She is preceded in death by three children Billy Barrett, Danny Barrett and David Barrett. Two grandsons, Scott Livingston and Christopher Barrett as well as a brother Charles Tribe and her parents. Lifelong best friend Lady Jane Gilstrap.

Also surviving her are siblings Gaye Whatley, Gloria Pollard (Bryant), Jerry Tribe (Cathy) and Shirley Cloud (James).

She leaves 15 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. A lifelong friend Bennie Johnson.

Her Celebration of Life will be

June 5, 2024 at Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston TX at 2:00pm

Family visitation is from 12 pm to 1 pm.

Friends visitation from 1 pm to 2 pm.

Service at 2 pm Burial at Menard Cemetery after the service.

Pall Bearers are her grandsons Aaron Gill, David Acosta, Michael Cowan, Brandan Walker, Jacob Walker and Perry Gilstrap

Honorary Pall Bearers are Michael Mouton, Luke Broussard, Cody Cunningham, Jesse Barrett, Chris Harris, Patrick Gilstrap and Harry Dunham.
